Volunteer from EDS
I’ve worked with Junior Achievement in the U.S and Junior Achievement in Melbourne and I enjoyed it so much so when I arrived in the UK I wanted to get involved in Young Enterprise so I went to the website, clicked on the volunteer’s link and took it from there.
I worked in Central London with Year 10 students from Central Foundation Boys’ School and their company, Equinox.
There are so many great things about doing this! Seeing the kids being given an opportunity to participate and become so successful through their own motivation. They take it so seriously and achieve so much and it’s not like anyone has forced them to get involved- they chose to. They all learn something about business and themselves and their future and that is priceless.
It’s amazing to have the chance to help these kids and feed off their energy; you’re using your talents to help others and that’s an indescribable feeling. It really helps puts things into perspective.
